About

Conducting research in the Advanced Robotics and Intelligent Embedded Systems (ARIES) Lab on novel sensing and control architectures for locomotive robotics systems in complex and dynamic environments.

Current Work

  • Integrating neuromorphic sensors (event cameras, depth cameras, and LiDAR), electromechanical design, and custom ROS2 algorithms into robotic systems
  • Working with wheeled, quadruped, and hexapod robots to comparing gait performance and low-power control strategies for general gait generation algorithms
  • Helping design mmWave systems for data collection and yield protection in corn silos
  • Working on hardware implementations of spiking neural networks for use in edge machine learning in robotics
