About

Developing avionics, power, and communications electronics for a rocket lander for the Collegiate Propulsive Lander Challenge.

Work

  • Working on control and command electronics to interface analog and digital sensors, flight software, and liquid rocket propulsion systems (a safe, robust GNC system)
  • Doing documentation, design reviews, and testing plans to ensure system safety and reproducability
  • Hardware design for ground support system (power management, safety, data collection, and radio communications) and lander power (battery charging and monitoring), data (pressure transducers, GNC sensors, etc.), and control systems (linear actuators, thruster gimbal hardware, and valves)
