Working with an ASU professor and NASA engineer to develop an FPGA for the NASA Habitable Worlds Observatory space telescope.

Work

  • Implementing polyphase filter bank, pulse detection, and tone tracking algorithms in a robust manner for use in space
  • Testing through simulations and implementing custom SystemVerilog HDL on physical FPGA
  • Researching FPGA architectures for implementing FFTs in an efficient manner
